The study

The relocated intake remained safely inside exposure criteria.

Challenge

Relocating the substation intake to the B2 driveway created a direct pathway for vehicle-generated carbon monoxide under worst-case fan operation.

Method

The model applied AS 1668.2:2024 vehicle emissions, peak traffic, background CO and a single-fan case across the driveway, intake, room and exhaust system.

Outcome

Concentrations were uniform at 750 and 1800 mm, remained far below the one-hour limit and showed no local accumulation.
